Our Packaging - A Sustainable Aproach

Simply Power Supplies are committed to reducing our environmental impact by prioritising sustainable packaging solutions. Our sustainable packaging promise is rooted in our dedication to a core principle of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. As well as responsibly sourcing all of our packaging materials including void-fill, boxes and documents enclosed wallets.

Reducing Packaging

Reducing packaging at Simply Power Supplies plays a key role in protecting the environment by addressing multiple environmental challenges. Reducing packaging means using fewer raw materials, such as paper, plastic, and metal, which decreases the demand for natural resources like trees, fossil fuels and water. This reduces the environmental impact of resource extraction and manufacturing. Smaller or more compact packages also use less fuel to transport, therefore, reducing the carbon foorprint of each shipment we make. While we make every effort to use the smallest possible box for your delivery, we also need ot balance this against the box stock we have (see below) and ensuring that your purchase arrives in perfect condition every time.
 

Reusing Packaging

Simply Power Supplies reuse as much of the pckaging we recieve as possible. For various reasons it is not always possible to reuse everything, but we extimate that we reuse about 95% of loosefill/voidfill; 80% of all cardboard boxes and 75% of the pallets we recieve. In addition to this about 90% of the cardoard boxes we purchase are second user, this saves approximately 0.8kg CO2e per box for our standard shipping boxes (https://consumerecology.com/carbon-footprint-of-a-cardboard-box/). At scale these small savings soon add up to significant savings.
 

Recycle Packaging

All packaging that cannot be reused, but can be recyled, is dealt with by our trade waste partners, ensuring everything that can be recyled will be recyled. This includes cardboad; paper; metals and plastics.
 

Responsible Packaging

In addition to purchasing second user boxes, Simply Power Supplies tries to select packaging with the lowest possible environmental impact. All of the void fill we purchase is starch based and is 100% biodegradeable (EcoFlo Loose Fill). If you do find we have packed your order with non-compostable void fill, this will be because we are reusing packing from one of our many suppliers. All "Documents Enlosed" wallets used by CP Power & Automation are 100% paper, making then fully recyclable along with the box that they are fixed to.
